When I saw A ‘Party ‘at Naatak

It was amazing to sit with theater enthusiast after such a long time, and watch a light hearted play, filled with a social life of various flavors. ‘Party’ is well written and amazingly executed. Being set in the same time frame it, the director has soundly pulled out an impeccable performance from all the actors.
The adept coordination and chemistry of all the actors were beautifully spilled on the stage. The play has been adapted from a Marathi Play, and has been translated by Mukund Marathe. And the direction has been nursed by a passionate theater enthusiast, Ravi Bhatnagar. With over 40 year of ardent involvement in the field of theater. He has carefully crafted each character. With their wardrobe, to make, to postures every aspect was thoughtfully directed.
The characters are relatable and quirky. From socialite Damyanti Ji to unruffled Doctor, and from flamboyant Agashe Ji to opportunist Vrinda, everyone is significantly presented. The on and off comedy was moody but hysterical.
It was my first visit to any of the Naatak’s presentations. And I know I will be following all their leads and future productions.
